The interim Elections Committee of the Society of Medical Physicists of the Republic of the Philippines (SMPRP), led by outgoing president Melanie D. Marquez, has officially declared the new set of SMPRP Board of Trustees for the term 2024-2026. This announcement follows the elections held on May 11, 2024, during the SMPRP General Assembly, which coincided with the 5th Philippine Conference on Medical Physics at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel in Cebu City.
As outlined in Article IV, Section 6 of the 2019 SMPRP Rules and Regulations, the term of the Board of Trustees spans two years, with elections occurring biennially to align with the organization's Annual General Meeting.
The newly elected Board of Trustees comprises the following members:

Additionally, Mr. Ramon Carlo Cruzpero, the current Vice-President of SMPRP, will assume his new role as President and continue serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for 2024-2026, in accordance with Article IV, Section 3 of the 2019 SMPRP Rules and Regulations.
The new Board of Trustees is tasked with preparing all necessary documents to ensure a smooth transition. This includes updating the Society’s records and financial details in collaboration with relevant government agencies as promptly as possible. The next step for the Board will be to elect the new set of officers from among their ranks to lead the organization through the upcoming term.
